Sandy Black - Employee Rentention Specialist
Sandy Black was born and raised in Delta, Utah. After several years of living in the Bay Area, near San Francisco, and raising two children, she and her family returned to Delta to be closer to family. She worked towards getting her Certified Nurses Certificate in 1996 and was hired as a CNA with Intermountain Healthcare. In 1998, she attended Salt Lake Community College, where she received her Therapeutic Recreation license has worked as a CNA/recreation therapist for Intermountain Healthcare and Traditions Healthcare for over 20 years. She currently works as a CNA/PCT at the Fillmore Hospital. As a recreation therapist, she invited WRA students to come and participate with the long-term residents in activities, community outings, several different projects and sometimes just visiting with them. She has already been involved with WRA since it was first established. She has a personal interest in working with these young men and has lost a loved one to addiction. Black has witnessed the success that WRA can have with these young men and is excited to be a part of this team.
